Philip describes it as, "dark, ambient music you could kill yourself to". If you can watch Jim Van Beebers "the Manson Family" then you'll hear that and a couple of other phil bands on there. he pretty much did all the music on there.

I wanna hear that "both legs broken" I think is what it's called. I haven't found anyone with any songs from it but I've heard about it.

The Satanic AKA Both Legs Broken was a side project phil did in 94 i think, with kirk and 2 other guys
they wore make up and shit and apparently he played the drums, there was a guy on youtube who had one of their (only?) shows recorded but lost the tape in katrina...

I THINK, way back in 2004 before or after that I'm not sure, but somewhere around that time he was working on Body and Blood, mellow accoustic stuff, never heard anything from Body And Blood though...
NOW As for SOUTHERN ISOLATION, most of the songs are good BUT No offense, I love what phil does, he's cool at everything he does BUT
"Southern Man I am" is a horrible fucking song dude... and I would say that to phil's face, I'd be like dude WTF were you thinking, my opinion should NOT offend any of you, I love phil to death.
but Southern Man I am, it was either horrible because it was a Demo that was released, because vocals or the guitars get to a point where they're waaaaay fucking off.
also phil doesn't really need a female singing with him, his voice is powerful and unique to listen to. he's truly the king
but come on, country man I am?? fuck's sake dudes... it needs re-recording big time

Southern man i am is ok. Its not as bad as you make it out to sound. But your entitled to your opinion man. I like the southern isolation tape. I think he was just experimenting with his voice as regards it was another side project he worked on. and i read that he loved the song so much he asked Opal if he could sing that one for the ep. But anyways, yeah i want to hear this body and blood. You KNOW it will be good.
