You must have me confused with your dad.

these posts kinda got off the thread topic, then again this ain't a funny moment but a nice one... the last time (out of 7) i saw Pantera was at Cobo Hall in Detroit on June 30th 2001. i was 21, and went with about 20 other hardcore kids to see the Kings rip that city a new one, high as fuck on pills, coke, bud, etc., anyway... AWESOME show!!! Philip comes out in his Manson shirt and says, "I wanna see you go fucking ballistic... we're the Kings of Metal... fucking Pantera!" and that goddamn floor went apeshit. they played Mouth for War, War Nerve and Strength Beyond Strength too ;D my favorite moment however was when all the crew, members of Slayer and Static-X, etc., came out onstage with shots to celebrate Philip's b-day while Dimebag sang 'Happy Birthday'. Philip was so embarrassed... then Kerry, Dime, Vinnie and Rex launched into 'Fucking Hostile' luckily years ago i got myself a copy of that show on DVD... my memories were a bit hazy till i watched it again.

May be the old man in me, or the miles and time I drove to film shows. I really hate these fucs that download shows and torrent them. I just don't think that crap should be on a record labels website, especially housecore. hey, i didn't upload anything, i just sent the dude a link. cry about it. it's not like i posted a link to an album (which i would never do) from this or any other label... i buy cds/merch and support bands that i enjoy, but i love downloading shows. i've taped dozens of shows as well and have come to terms with the fact that torrenting bootlegs is the new form of trading.

Exactly, and most bands let you tape as long as you DON'T SELL IT. And torrenting/downloading isn't selling it, it's trading. A thousand thanks to the tapers and traders out there from a fellow taper/trader.

I'm not going to argue on here. I have been filming since the early 90s. I would never trade my videos to people who sell on ebay. Torrents and downloads can go directly to these people. Most of my vids have been torrented, not with my permission, and very shitty 3rd gen versions. Now they just go straight to the band. I have a different opinion, and I will just refrain now. Have fun people. Here is a quote from Gary the guitar player of exodus
"When it comes to live bootlegs or rarities and stuff like that I'm all for people going and doing all the trading that they want," he continues. "People ask me how I compare tape trading to downloading — some people have actually said, 'Oh, it's kind of the same thing, isn't it?' And I said, 'No, it's not.' A tape trader loved the band. He had to physically copy that tape. He had to go down to the post office, address it, send it to his pen-pal friend across the world at his own expense and time, so he put love and effort into that. Now you just click a mouse
